2011 Recap

Ahoy sailors! Finally, after a long long procrastination, here is the overdue post from yours truly. Heeheeheeheeheehee *innocent face*

Well, first of all, Happy Chinese New Year to all those celebrating! It's quiet for me this year, I miss the fun of going to houses and getting angpaus and the food, oh my. Spent all day long at home, hibernating like a lazy ass panda. I managed to push myself to do this post today because I got bored watching the tv and Burger does not want to play with me. Burger is our cousin's bunny and she's one cheeky bunny! She has this favourite corner behind the tv, it's unreachable. Le sigh~

Anyways, looking back at pictures in 2011, I feel blessed to have gone through another year and surviving it. Some pictures made me cracked up so loud that Burger scurried off to her unreachable spot. Perhaps thinking there's an evil witch in the house.

I am thankful for my family, friends, food!, the chance to travel and going places, attending super cool events like concerts and stuffs.

2011 was also the year I discovered new things, and a lot of 'first' in my life. As you go through the pictures, you'll know what I'm talking about.

I'll not type much about 2011, nothing to bitch about (Unlike 2010. Haha), everything is happy and jolly, so I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. :)

Keeping up with a good friend. Told him that I would want to be in his Porsche one day. ;)

Hanging out with cousins when everyone's in KL.

Bullied these kids into forcing them to do a human pyramid. Muahaha. This was in Port Dickson during their CSS Annual Camp.

And lastly, Phi Phi Island. I'll blog more about this trip. :)

2011 has taught me to be blessed with whatever I have and to live in moderation. And it's true when they say that wherever your family/loved ones are, you can call it home. I miss Miri so much; the short distance drive everywhere, the dogs, the serenity of the area, the beautiful sunset view from our room; but I seldom travel back for the whole year. I was only back for sister's engagement and wedding and spent one day during the May/June holiday before driving off to KK the next day.

Good thing that the family came here and made it feel like home. I also did not celebrate any big festive seasons this year but spent them travelling instead. I was only home during CNY for sister's engagement. During the Kaamatan/Gawai holiday, I flew back to Miri and spent only one night there. The next day, I was in the car with the family, driving to KK for the countless times.Celebrated Gawai at Mamutik Island instead.

During Raya, family came here and good thing that the company was closed for the whole week. The Boss decided to travel to Mersing,Johor and then Pulau Tioman this time to complete his journey to conquer the whole state of Malaysia and we stopped by JB, almost to Singapore but tak jadi, and Melaka along the way.

We celebrated Christmas in KL for 2011 and it was nothing big. Had a good dinner in Pavilion and that was it. Brought me back in 2007 when we were in Kundasang, or was it Mesilau, for Christmas; having our own family bonding session. I kinda like it that way but one part of me misses the open house and all.

For 2012, I do not have any resolutions, I am planning to just go with the flow. I do have this list of things that I want to do before 30 but I'm not going to limit myself to just that because I can be pretty indecisive and impulsive.

If there's one thing that I really want to stick with is that I wanna keep in touch with as many friends as possible because it is true the older you get, the lesser friends you have. That's just depressing to me. :P I know time and work are not very friendly in this matter, but hey, better try than nothing right. :)

Wow, I can't believe I've typed this long, I think I'll stop. I couldn't be bothered to go through it once more so I apologize early but hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed the experiences of 2011.

I'll see you in a similar post sometime in 2013 and thank you from the bottom of my heart, for being such a great silent reader. :)

Love always,
Gnet.
